“Toolim” 2006 Cardinia Arts Centre, Pakenham, VIC

6m high x 5m dia

stainless-steel, copper, rock, programmed LED up-lights

"Toolim" derives from Juncus spp [the common sedge] which was once plentiful in the wetlands on this site and used extensively by the Traditional Owners for weaving.  Now replaced with a lake and lawns beside a new housing development, perhaps the notion of 'nature' can be further considered.

The theatrical lighting reflects the activities with the adjacent performing arts centre.
