As a response to and reflection upon the history of Dingley Village, this sculpture embraces the fundamental process of preparing the soil for agriculture. 

 

‘Tillage’ is a series of mounded furrows arcing above the ground in shapes that evoke working metal tools, wheels, discs and farm machinery.   The ground below is a matching series of planting to suggest furrows, reaching from one side of the roundabout to the other.
