"Drawing Conclusions" is a memorial to Charles Darwin, commemorating the 200th anniversary of his birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication The Origin of the Species by Means of Natural Selection.  The sculptural form is derived from his microscope overlaid with rigging from the Beagle - his research vessel for 5 years.  The 5 glass plates contain imagery expressing mitosis, the division of cells - the essence of his research
