"Alternating Current" is a sculpture that honours the resilience of the residents of Lismore in their decades of living with frequent
floodwaters. In the centre of town is an 500 kilovolt sub-station floating above all recorded flood levels. In this work, the power supply has been painted electric blue and is cradled in a ship
that cannot float, riding on a sea of glass cubes. By night, the glass undulates with slow watery-coloured lights, interrupted with occasional flashes of blue/white lightening.
