"1100°" is a composition of reflection, line, energy and form derived from the multiple beehive forms of the nearby remnants of the coke ovens.  The copper arches are patterned like the brick domes of the oven roofs.  Dark blocks of polycarbonate refract sunlight by day and glisten like coal at night.  The black undulating ground surface extends the allusion to coal and coke
